I have chosen to research into binding methods as I could potentially go down this route in the final created product.
For this brief I am very interested in belly bounds as its a great way to contain all of the folds of the publication.
This created for the Pensmore project makes great use of a belly bound, using a different stock material to the actual creation. It is clear to see that the design contains many folds and the belly bound does a great job of containing all of these, even with a less weighty stock.
This quite quirky piece of design uses what I would say was the opposite of a belly bound, a strip of material has been removed from the cover, to allow the audience to see inside the publication.
The contrasting colours and types of stock is something that evokes great excitement from me, as the interior stock is clearly more of a pungent, vibrant and artificial stock in comparison to the exterior earth natural stock.
This is a very simple horizontal belly bound in which the green band is wrapped around a white document.
