Indian Ink experiments:

I began to experiment with Indian ink to achieve an authentic looking style for my logo creation.

Initially the ink drawing wasn't going too greatly and I was applying too much ink creating a sloppy looking dark patch.
I began to use a different method of using a pencil coated in ink and rather than filling in solid areas black, sketching over in pencil lines.
I was very happy with the final zebra, but not as happy with the elephant creation.

Here is the final version scanned in. I feel it is better to use a handmade piece of art rather than a digital creation with no personality. I shall further experiment with this to see what other effects I can create.

I felt that using art work that I had personally generated gave the logo branding much more of a human feel so for this reason I decided to use this Ink illustrations despite the fact I wasn't overwhelmed by the quality of the elephant.

Admittedly, I should have attempted to sketch a better looking elephant but time restrictions on this one week brief meant that I had to run with what I had.
