Here are my final submissions for the Royal Mint brief.
I have chosen to involve the design with and without the "One pound" writing on the design due to the fact I'm not sure how necessary this is as the 12 sides of the coin all say 'one pound' so it's clear how much currency this is. But saying that, I have submitted both designs to royal mint so they can decide if it fits the requirements of the brief.
Here shows my design as a vector format which the Brief requested.
This design involves the writing stating that this is a one pound coin.
This design does not involve the writing stating that this is a one pound coin because I am not happy with the design and placement of this piece of type so I have chosen to leave it out in certain places.
Here is where i've mocked up the design onto an actual photograph of the coin, again this is where is says that the coin is 'one pound' but I do not like how that looks at this stage, so below I have chosen to remove it.
Here is my email submitting my design to Royal mint, I have involved my user number and my name and given a brief description explaining the design on my coin:
I related my design piece on the new 12 sided pound coin to typical Britishness and how other nations stereotype as very polite and friendly, I consider this a happy association and for this reason I have researched different words used to greet someone in the UK and using a typically British typeface, I have created this coin design.
