Dissertation tutorial feedback

After receiving my grade and feeling happy with the level achieved, I attended a meeting with my COP tutor (Amber Smith) in which we went over my feedback sheet and the tutor gave me advice on how I could progress and a breakdown of the grade I attained.

From my feedback sheet it was evident that 'cognative skills / problem analysis' was my downfall, attaining a grade of 55% where as Amber claims if I had tried a slight bit harder it would have been around the 63% mark. Feedback was given that if I had blogged my tutorials more thoroughly and documented my thought processes in relation to the theory I had learnt, then a higher grade would have been achieved overall.
Definite considerations for the future as these sort of skills are vital when blogging about Extended practice briefs, so this is something I must improve on.

The tutor claimed the clarity between the dissertation and the practical outcome could have been documented stronger, again resulting in a higher grade. All of the feedback received from the tutorial will massively benefit me when blogging and documenting my Extended practice modules.

I was surprised how I was commended on my research ability and it was discussed that feminist topics and the Gaze was a surprising subject for me to discuss in a dissertation (due to it differing from my previous year's dissertations) but it was commented that I executed this topic well and now have a good understanding on the topic that will benefit my future project.

I remarked on how societal influence was an interest of mine and a topic that I would continue studying in my spare time and also relating to design projects. It has also been discussed how more film poster briefs will be attempted for the Extended practice module and there is even potential to expand on the COP module by accomplishing similar film poster briefs.
